Handball At Camelot

We have a joyful association which is an active, close-knit community. We love to play handball and enjoy drinks and activities together. We were founded in 1992 and since then have continued to work together with Tilburg University and FOSST, the federation of student sports Tilburg. Check out our instagram to see more of us!

Handball

Handball is a fast-moving sport which makes great demands in terms of stamina and quick reactions. A handballer has to be able to defend, attack and be in exactly the right place at the right time. He must also be quick, a good thrower and a good jumper.

The rules are simple, and almost the converse of football: you are not allowed to kick the ball or use the lower part of the leg. A player holding the ball may not ’travel’ more than three steps, although he can dribble as in basketball. Any breach of these rules will give the opposing team a free throw (penalty) from a line seven metres from your goal. The winner is the team with the most points.

There are two handball training sessions a week at the Sports Center. Feel free to come along. The coach will be happy to explain the game further.
